In the afternoon, Her Excellency, Ms Penelope Wensley AO, presided at an Investiture Ceremony at Government House for Queensland recipients of Australian Bravery Decorations. In the presence of the Shadow Minister for Child Safety and Sport, Mr Jack Dempsey MP, representing the Leader of the Opposition, Queensland Police Commissioner Bob Atkinson APM, Queensland Ambulance Service Commissioner David Melville APM, Commander , Combat Support Group, RAAF, Air Commodore Chris Sawade CSC, National Vice President (Queensland), Australian Bravery Association, Ms Sally Gregory, the Governor presented awards to 18 recipients and afterwards hosted a reception for the Awardees, their families and other guests.

In the evening, Her Excellency, as Patron of the Navy League of Australia (Queensland Division) and Mr Stuart McCosker attended the annual Patron's Dinner at the United Service Club, Brisbane, welcomed by Federal President of the League, Commander Graham Morris, President of the League's Queensland Division, Mr Harvey Greenfield and Commanding Officer, Royal Australian Navy, South Queensland, Commander Geoff Fiedler.

In the morning, Her Excellency, the Governor, and Mr Stuart McCosker attended the 6th Annual ‘Cream of the Crop' Droughtmaster Cattle Sale at Coolabunia, welcomed by State Member for Nanango, Ms Dorothy Pratt MP and Mayor, South Burnett Regional Council, Cr David Carter, where following an inspection of the cattle sale lots, the Governor Opened Officially the sale.

Following, Her Excellency and Mr McCosker attended a morning tea with members of the local community at the South Burnett Regional Council offices, hosted by Mayor Cr David Carter.

In the afternoon, Her Excellency and Mr McCosker departed Kingaroy for Brisbane.

In the evening, Her Excellency, as Patron of the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) (Queensland Section), and Mr McCosker attended the RFDS Spirit of Queensland Awards Gala Presentation Dinner at the Tattersall's Club, Brisbane, welcomed by Chairman, RFDS Queensland Board, Ms Julia Leeds. In the presence of the Labour State Member for Waterford, Mr Evan Moorhead MP, representing the Premier and Minister for the Arts, the Honourable Anna Bligh MP, the Deputy Chairman, RFDS Queensland Board, Mr Mark Gray and Chief Executive Officer, RFDS Queensland Section, Mr Nino Di Marco, Her Excellency addressed guests and presented the Awards.

In the afternoon, Her Excellency, Ms Penelope Wensley AO, as Special Visitor to the Brisbane Girls Grammar School (BGGS), attended as Guest of Honour, the Annual School Speech Day at Brisbane City Hall, welcomed by BGGS Principal, Dr Amanda Bell and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Ms Elizabeth Jameson, where the Governor delivered the Occasional Address and presented prizes to the Year 12 students.

In the evening, Her Excellency and Mr Stuart McCosker departed Government House for Kingaroy, where they attended a dinner with Queensland Country Life Journalist, Mr Malcolm McCosker and the Principal of D&G Livestock, Mr Doug Haigh.

In the morning, Her Excellency, Ms Penelope Wensley AO, received the Deputy Clerk of the Queensland Parliament, Mr Michael Ries, for the presentation and signing of Bills for Assent at the Executive Building, George Street, Brisbane.

Following, Her Excellency presided at a meeting of The Executive Council at the Executive Building.

In the evening, the Governor and Mr Stuart McCosker hosted a Q150 Reception at Government House, to recognize and celebrate Queensland Excellence in Mining and Energy, attended by the Minister for Natural Resources, Mines and Energy and Minister for Trade, Mr Stephen Robertson.

In the afternoon, Her Excellency Ms Penelope Wensley AO, as the Official Visitor of Brisbane Grammar School, attended , as Guest of Honour, the Brisbane Grammar School Annual Speech Day and Prize Giving Ceremony, at the Concert Hall, Queensland Performing Arts Centre, welcomed by Brisbane Grammar School Headmaster, Mr Brian Short and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Mr Howard Slack, where the Governor delivered an address and presented prizes to the senior students.

In the Evening, Her Excellency, as Patron of the Australia China Business Council (ACBC), (Qld Branch) attended, as Guest of Honour, the Council's Annual Christmas Reception at the Tattersall's Club, Queen Street, Brisbane, held in conjunction with the China Chamber of Commerce in Australia, welcomed by ACBC Queensland Branch President, Mr Stephen Abbott and Executive Committee Member, Mr David Lyons, where the Governor delivered an address to Council Members and guests.

In the morning students and staff from Nundah State School visited Government House for a guided tour and morning tea.

In the evening, Her Excellency Ms Penelope Wensley AO attended, as Guest of Honour, the 112th Annual Speech Night of St Margaret's Anglican Girls School, at the Concert Hall, Queensland Performing Arts Centre, welcomed by School Principal, Dr Sue Simon and Chairman of the School Council, Mr Joe Gibson where the Governor delivered an address and presented prizes to the year 11 and 12 students. 

Following, the Governor joined the Official Party at a post-Ceremony reception hosted by the Principal, Dr Sue Simon.

In the afternoon, His Excellency The Honourable Chief Justice Paul de Jersey AC, ceased duty as Deputy Governor and Her Excellency, Ms Penelope Wensley AO resumed her responsibilities as Governor following a period of medical leave.

In the evening, the Governor attended the Opening Ceremony and Graduation of the 41st Annual Scientific Congress of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (RANZCO), at The Sofitel Hotel, Brisbane, welcomed by RANZCO President, Dr Iain Dunlop and CEO, Mr Robert Guest, where Her Excellency delivered the Opening address and formally opened the Congress.

Following, the Governor attended the President's Reception for College Fellows, Congress delegates and guests, hosted by President, Dr Iain Dunlop at the Sofitel Hotel.

In the morning, Her Excellency, The Honourable Justice Margaret McMurdo AC, President of the Court of Appeal, Supreme Court of Queensland, completed duties as Deputy Governor and His Excellency, The Honourable Chief Justice Paul de Jersey AC, resumed duties as Deputy Governor.

In the morning, the Deputy Governor, Her Excellency, The Honourable Justice Margaret McMurdo AC, received Her Excellency Mrs Susane Wagner Hoffman Shine, Ambassador of Denmark in Australia and Mr Lars Kirk, Honorary Consul for Denmark in Queensland.

In the afternoon, students and staff from the Kenmore State School attended Government House for a Guided Tour and Afternoon Tea.

In the evening, the Honourable Chief Justice Paul de Jersey AC, representing Her Excellency Ms Penelope Wensley AO as patron, attended the Royal Automobile Club of Queensland Limited (RACQ) Honorary Life Member Dinner at The Brisbane Club, Adelaide Street, Brisbane, welcomed by President RACQ, Mr Richard Pietsch, where the Deputy Governor addressed guests prior to presenting badges to Honorary Life Members, Ms Julie-Anne Schafer and Mr Alan Terry.

In the morning, the Deputy Governor, His Excellency, the Honourable Chief Justice Paul de Jersey AC received the Clerk of the Queensland Parliament, Mr Neil Laurie, for the presentation and signing of Bills for Assent.
