 Invitations / Requests

If you wish to invite Her Excellency and/or Mr Stuart McCosker to attend your function, the following information is required: 

• Advise the date and time of the function (including the start time and envisaged end time)
• Advise the venue and, if out of Brisbane, a description of the location (eg 50km west of Toowoomba)
• What will the role of the Governor be at the event?
• Is a speech required?  (Provide suggested speaking time)
• Type of function (ie Official Opening of Conference; Christmas Cocktail Reception; Anniversary Dinner; School Speech Night etc)
• Provide an overview of the Organisation involved (not applicable if Her Excellency is Patron of your Organisation)

  The Governor's diary is formulated three months in advance.

You will be advised in writing when a decision has been made.

Request for a Message or Foreword from Her Excellency:

• A letter of request should be sent to the Official Secretary, which should include the date the message is required - to assist with meeting printing deadlines etc.
• Requests will not be accepted unless received 4 weeks prior to the deadline date.
