A Guide To Employment Employees of the Office of the Governor are considered to be public sector employees, but are not Queensland public servants. Staff vacancies with the Office occur from time to time, and are normally filled through an open, competitive application process. Advertised job vacancies generally appear in the Queensland Government Gazette, The Courier-Mail newspaper and on this website. The conditions of service for staff of the Office generally equate to those of the Queensland Public Service. Specific conditions of employment, remuneration and other workplace conditions are outlined in separate and formal industrial agreements. The Office of the Governor is an equal opportunity employer.
