Governor's Program

The Governor’s Official Program is comprised of a wide range of constitutional and legal duties and ceremonial and community engagements. Each year, the Governor hosts thousands of visitors to Government House to take part in investiture and award ceremonies, Open Days, receptions and meetings, and travels widely throughout Queensland to support the activities of Patron groups. On Wednesday, in the morning, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey hosted an Investiture Ceremony for residents of Queensland, recipients of Australian honours and awards announced in the Australia Day 2017 Honours List, The Queen’s Birthday 2016 and 2017 Honours Lists and Australian Bravery Decorations announced in March 2017.

In the afternoon, at Government House, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey hosted an Investiture Ceremony for residents of Queensland, recipients of Australian honours and awards announced in the The Queen’s Birthday 2017 Honours List and Australian Bravery Decorations announced in March 2017.

Following, at Government House, the Governor received Mr Michael Reis, Deputy Clerk of the Parliament, for the presentation of Bills for Assent.
