The Governor’s Official Program is comprised of a wide range of constitutional and legal duties and ceremonial and community engagements. Each year, the Governor hosts thousands of visitors to Government House to take part in investiture and award ceremonies, Open Days, receptions and meetings, and travels widely throughout Queensland to support the activities of Patron groups. On Tuesday, in the morning, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC greeted members of Peninsula Palms Retirement Village visiting for morning tea and a guided tour of the House and gardens.
In the evening, at Government House, His Excellency, received Ambassador of the United States of America to Australia, His Excellency Arthur B. Culvahouse Jr and Consul-General of the United States of America in New South Wales and Queensland, Ms Sharon Hudson-Dean.
Following, at Government House, the Governor and Mrs Kaye de Jersey hosted a dinner in honour of the Ambassador of the United States of America to Australia, and the Governor addressed guests.
