Governor's Program

The Governor’s Official Program is comprised of a wide range of constitutional and legal duties and ceremonial and community engagements. Each year, the Governor hosts thousands of visitors to Government House to take part in investiture and award ceremonies, Open Days, receptions and meetings, and travels widely throughout Queensland to support the activities of Patron groups. On Thursday, in the morning, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC greeted members of the Probus Club of MacGregor visiting for morning tea and a guided tour of the House and gardens.

Following, at 1 William Street, His Excellency presided at a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the afternoon, at Government House, His Excellency received the Clerk of the Parliament, Mr Neil Laurie, for the presentation of four Bills for Assent.

Following, at Government House, His Excellency greeted members of the public visiting for a guided tour of the House and gardens.

Following, at Government House, His Excellency and Mrs Kaye de Jersey hosted a reception in support of Red Nose Australia, and the Governor presented an award, and addressed guests.
