Her Excellency Ms Penelope Wensley AC and Mr Stuart McCosker welcomed members of the public to an "Open Day" at Government House in celebration of Queensland Day, with guided tours of Government House and gardens, presentations and displays by the Office of the Governor, a "Community Fair" featuring Queensland historical and community associations and societies and organisations of which the Governor is Patron, and entertainment by the Australian Army Band, Brisbane, the Queensland Police Pipes and Drums and School and community music groups and choirs.
