More than 1,600m of lights and over 10,000 bulbs will illuminate Queensland’s historic Government House and gardens for a public Christmas Lights display from 8 to 12 December 2016.
The gates will open to the public from 7-8pm each night.
More than 4,000 patrons attended last year’s event, also held over five nights.
Entrance will be via the Service Gate at 168 Fernberg Road, Paddington (pedestrian access only, there is no onsite parking), and Gavel – the Police Recruit Dog undertaking 12-month socialisation and training program at Fernberg – will make an appearance each evening.
Last year over 9,000 people visited Fernberg – the official residence of the Queensland Governor since 1910 – including on Open Days, and on guided school and tour groups.
