Despite the challenges of COVID-19, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey’s program in 2020-21 comprised 920 constitutional, ceremonial and community activities throughout the State – a 42 per cent increase on the previous year, making this the Office of the Governor’s busiest 12-month period of the 26th governorship.
This was detailed in the Office of the Governor’s annual report, which was today tabled in the Queensland Parliament.
The report is an integral part of the Office’s corporate governance framework and describes the achievements, performance, outlook and financial position of the Office for the financial year. The report is a key accountability document and the principal way in which the Office reports on activities and provides a full and complete picture of its performance to Parliament and the wider community.
