Governor's Program

The Governor’s Official Program is comprised of a wide range of constitutional and legal duties and ceremonial and community engagements. Each year, the Governor hosts thousands of visitors to Government House to take part in investiture and award ceremonies, Open Days, receptions and meetings, and travels widely throughout Queensland to support the activities of Patron groups. On Tuesday, in the morning, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC departed Government House for official travel to Cunnamulla.

Following, at Paroo Shire Hall, Cunnamulla, His Excellency attended the Isolated Children’s Parents’ Association Queensland’s 50th State Conference, and officially opened the Conference, presented awards and addressed guests.

Following, at Cunnamulla, His Excellency visited Sacred Heart Parish School, and addressed students and read a book.

Following, at Council Chambers, Cunnamulla, His Excellency received a briefing from Paroo Shire Council and local disaster management representatives.

In the afternoon, His Excellency returned to Government House following official travel to Cunnamulla.
