Governor's Program

The Governor’s Official Program is comprised of a wide range of constitutional and legal duties and ceremonial and community engagements. Each year, the Governor hosts thousands of visitors to Government House to take part in investiture and award ceremonies, Open Days, receptions and meetings, and travels widely throughout Queensland to support the activities of Patron groups. On Wednesday, in the morning, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC CVO greeted members of St Dympna's Catholic Primary School visiting for a guided tour of the House and gardens.

In the afternoon, at Government House His Excellency and Mrs Kaye de Jersey hosted a luncheon in recognition of outstanding Queensland Constitutional contributors, and His Excellency addressed guests. Guests included: Mrs Rachel Hunter PSM; Mr David Mackie; Mr Pat Vidgen PSM; Mr Neil Laurie; Mr Rob Setter; Mr Brendan Worrall; Ms Filly Morgan PSM; Mr Leighton Craig; Mr Michael Ries; Mr Stuart Busby; Mrs Kate Hastings; and Ms Yolande Yorke.

Following, at Government House, His Excellency greeted members of the Village Taigum visiting for a guided tour of the House and gardens.

Following, at the Old Museum, Bowen Hills, His Excellency attended the National Council of Women of Queensland's 2021 Bursary Presentation Evening, and addressed guests and presented awards.
