The Government House website focuses on the Governor of Queensland, Ms Penelope Wensley AO, her role and responsibilities, and her program of constitutional, official and civic duties.

Government House is the Governor's home during her term of office, and serves also as an administrative centre to support her official program.

The Governor hosts in excess of 15,000 visitors to Government House annually, for Open Days, school visits, ceremonial occasions and hospitality events that recognise and value individuals and organisations who serve the Queensland community.

This site includes the Governor's daily program, selected speeches and articles, official photographs and anthems, and details of the Australian System of Honours and Awards.

"As a proud Queenslander, conscious of my heritage, I pledge that I will do all I can to serve the people of Queensland and to promote and enhance the welfare and standing of the State."
