On Thursday, in the morning, at Government House, the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD received a briefing from Trade and Investment Queensland.

Following, at Government House, via teleconference, Her Excellency presided at a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the afternoon, at Government House, Her Excellency received the Clerk of the Parliament, Mr Neil Laurie, for the presentation of three Bills for Assent: A Victims’ Commissioner and Sexual Violence Review Board Bill 2024, A Disaster Management and Other Legislation Amendment Bill 2024, A Criminal Code (Decriminalising Sex Work) and Other Legislation Amendment Bill 2024.

Following, at Government House, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo hosted a reception in support of the Queensland 2024 Prince of Wales Awards Ceremony, and the Governor addressed guests.
