Governor's Program

The Governor’s Official Program is comprised of a wide range of constitutional and legal duties and ceremonial and community engagements. Each year, the Governor hosts thousands of visitors to Government House to take part in investiture and award ceremonies, Open Days, receptions and meetings, and travels widely throughout Queensland to support the activities of Patron groups. On Monday, in the morning, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC departed Brisbane for an official visit to Rockhampton.

Following, at the Rockhampton Police Complex, the Governor received a briefing on flood recovery efforts and met staff from the Queensland Police Service.

Following, at City Hall, Rockhampton, the Governor received a briefing on flood recovery efforts from Rockhampton Regional Council representatives.

In the afternoon, at the Rockhampton State Emergency Services (SES) Headquarters, Berserker, the Governor attended an afternoon tea with SES personnel and members of the Local Disaster Management Group involved in flood recovery efforts, before returning to Brisbane.
