Governor's Program

The Governor’s Official Program is comprised of a wide range of constitutional and legal duties and ceremonial and community engagements. Each year, the Governor hosts thousands of visitors to Government House to take part in investiture and award ceremonies, Open Days, receptions and meetings, and travels widely throughout Queensland to support the activities of Patron groups. On Thursday, in the morning, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC welcomed members of the Jimboomba Garden Society visiting for morning tea and a guided tour of the House and gardens.

Following, at 1 William Street, His Excellency presided at a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the afternoon, at the Graydon Gallery, New Farm, His Excellency visited Betoota – The Exhibition.

Following, at the Royal International Convention Centre, Bowen Hills, Mrs Kaye de Jersey attended the Royal National Agricultural and Industrial Association of Queensland (RNA) 2018 Charity Fundraising High Tea.

In the evening, at the Brisbane Showgrounds, Bowen Hills, His Excellency attended the 2018 Royal Queensland Show Annual Cabinet Dinner.
