Governor's Program

The Governor’s Official Program is comprised of a wide range of constitutional and legal duties and ceremonial and community engagements. Each year, the Governor hosts thousands of visitors to Government House to take part in investiture and award ceremonies, Open Days, receptions and meetings, and travels widely throughout Queensland to support the activities of Patron groups. On Wednesday, in the morning, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC received the Consul-General of Japan in Queensland, Mr Kazunari Tanaka, accompanied by Deputy Consul-General, Mr Takeshi Tanabe.

Following, at Government House, His Excellency greeted members of the Dayboro Conversation Club visiting for morning tea and a guided tour of the House and gardens.

In the evening, at Government House, His Excellency greeted members of the public visiting to view the 2018 Christmas Lights display.
