Governor's Program

The Governor’s Official Program is comprised of a wide range of constitutional and legal duties and ceremonial and community engagements. Each year, the Governor hosts thousands of visitors to Government House to take part in investiture and award ceremonies, Open Days, receptions and meetings, and travels widely throughout Queensland to support the activities of Patron groups. On Sunday, in the morning, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey returned to Government House following official travel to Cairns.

In the evening, at St Barnabas Anglican Church, Red Hill, His Excellency and Mrs de Jersey attended the dedication of the Heroes of ANZAC window, and the Governor delivered a reading.

Following, at Government House, His Excellency greeted members of the public visiting to view the 2018 Christmas Lights display.
