Governor's Program

The Governor’s Official Program is comprised of a wide range of constitutional and legal duties and ceremonial and community engagements. Each year, the Governor hosts thousands of visitors to Government House to take part in investiture and award ceremonies, Open Days, receptions and meetings, and travels widely throughout Queensland to support the activities of Patron groups. On Thursday, in the morning, at Kensal Green Cemetery, London, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey laid a wreath at the gravesite of the first Governor of Queensland, the Right Honourable Sir George Bowen GCMG.

In the afternoon, at the Garrick Club, London, His Excellency and Mrs de Jersey met with Lord Marland of Odstock.

In the evening, at the Sofitel London St James, London, His Excellency and Mrs de Jersey hosted a dinner for inspiring Queenslanders, and the Governor addressed guests.
