Governor's Program

The Governor’s Official Program is comprised of a wide range of constitutional and legal duties and ceremonial and community engagements. Each year, the Governor hosts thousands of visitors to Government House to take part in investiture and award ceremonies, Open Days, receptions and meetings, and travels widely throughout Queensland to support the activities of Patron groups. On Thursday, in the afternoon, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC greeted members of U3A Granite Belt visiting for afternoon tea and a guided tour of the House and gardens.

Following, at the State Library of Queensland, South Bank, His Excellency and Mrs Kaye de Jersey attended the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) Australian Library Design Awards, and the Governor presented awards, and addressed guests.

In the evening, at the Pullman Brisbane King George Square, Brisbane City, His Excellency attended the Queensland Irish Association St Patrick’s Eve Dinner, and the Governor addressed guests.
