The Governor’s Official Program is comprised of a wide range of constitutional and legal duties and ceremonial and community engagements. Each year, the Governor hosts thousands of visitors to Government House to take part in investiture and award ceremonies, Open Days, receptions and meetings, and travels widely throughout Queensland to support the activities of Patron groups. On Monday, in the morning, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey departed Government House for official travel to the Gold Coast.
Following, at Pimpama, His Excellency and Mrs de Jersey visited Pimpama State School, and the Governor addressed students and guests.

In the afternoon, at the City of Gold Coast Council Chambers, Surfers Paradise, His Excellency and Mrs de Jersey received a briefing from Council representatives.
Following, at Southport, His Excellency and Mrs de Jersey visited the Gold Coast Student Hub.
In the evening, at the Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort & Spa, His Excellency and Mrs de Jersey hosted a reception in support of the Gold Coast community, and the Governor addressed guests.
