In the evening, at Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Base Amberley, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC, Honorary Air Commodore, No. 23 (City of Brisbane) Squadron, attended a Farewells Dining-In night.

Also, in the evening, the Governor commenced duty as Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia; and the Chief Justice of Queensland, the Honourable Tim Carmody, commenced duty as Acting Governor.
