In the gardens of Government House, the Daniel Morcombe Rose stands as a living tribute to Daniel Morcombe, who was tragically abducted and murdered at just 13 years old.
In the wake of this tragedy, Bruce and Denise Morcombe established the Daniel Morcombe Foundation, which for 20 years has worked tirelessly to keep children safe through education, advocacy, and support—a legacy of hope and protection for future generations.
The Daniel Morcombe Rose is one of 96 roses grown for formal displays and occasions at the House.
