Governor grants Assent to vehicle, smoking and building Bills

Her Excellency received the Clerk of the Parliament, Mr Neil Laurie, for the presentation of the following three Bills, to which Royal Assent was granted:

Heavy Vehicle National Law Amendment Bill 2025

A bill for an Act to amend the Heavy Vehicle National Law Act 2012 for particular purposes

Tobacco and Other Smoking Products (Dismantling Illegal Trade) and Other Legislation Amendment Bill 2025

A bill for an Act to amend the State Penalties Enforcement Regulation 2014 and the Tobacco and Other Smoking Products Act 1998 for particular purposes

Queensland Building and Construction Commission and Other Legislation Amendment Bill 2025

A bill for an Act amend the Building Act 1975, the Plumbing and Drainage Act 2018 and the Queensland Building and Construction Commission Act 1991 for particular purposes
