Her Excellency grants Assent to two Bills

The Governor today received the Clerk of the Queensland Parliament, Mr Neil Laurie, for the presentation of the following Bills, to which she granted Royal Assent. 

Queensland Institute of Medical Research Bill 2025

A bill for an Act to provide for the administration and operation of the Queensland Institute of Medical Research, to repeal the Queensland Institute of Medical Research Act 1945, and to amend this Act and the legislation mentioned in schedule 2 for particular purposes

Education (General Provisions) Amendment Bill 2025

A bill for an Act to amend the Child Safe Organisations Act 2024, the Education (Accreditation of Non-State Schools) Act 2017, the Education and Care Services Act 2013, the Education and Care Services National Law (Queensland) Act 2011, the Education

and Care Services National Law (Queensland) Regulation 2022, the Education (Capital Assistance) Act 1993, the Education (General Provisions) Act 2006, the Education (Queensland College of Teachers) Act 2005, the Education (Queensland College of Teachers) Regulation 2016, the Education (Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority) Act 2014, the Education (Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority) Regulation 2025, the Family Responsibilities Commission Act 2008 and the legislation mentioned in schedule 1 for particular purposes
