On Wednesday, in the morning, at Government House, members of Australian War Widows Queensland (Southwest Region) visited for a guided tour of the House and gardens. 

In the afternoon, at the Mater Private Hospital, South Brisbane, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM hosted a Private Investiture Ceremony for Mrs Susan Skinner OAM, and the Governor addressed guests.

In the evening, at Government House, Her Excellency hosted a dinner in support of Regional Queensland and the Governor addressed guests. Guests included: Councillor Adam Belot and Mrs Rachael Belot; Councillor Francis Murray and Mrs Michelle Murray; Councillor Janice Moriarty and Mr John Moriarty; Councillor Shane Rendalls and Mrs Liz Rendalls; Councillor Kelly Vea Vea and Councillor Jane Pickels; Mr Tim Hayden; Ms Meredith Staib; Mr Cameron MacMillan; Ms Sarah Vogler; Mr Brett Johnson; Mr Scott Allen; and Ms Kristie Robinson.
