On Tuesday, in the morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM received Volunteering Queensland, Board Chair, Dr Linda Lavarch and Chief Executive Officer, Ms Jane Hedger.

Following, at Government House, members of the public visited for a guided tour of the House and gardens.

In the afternoon, at United Service Club, Spring Hill, Her Excellency attended the Scribblers presentation of the 2026 Bedford Journal, and the Governor addressed guests.

In the evening, at Queensland Art Gallery, South Brisbane, Her Excellency and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD attended a reception to celebrate the Italian National Day on the 80th anniversary of the foundation of the Italian Republic, and the Governor addressed guests.
