On Wednesday, in the morning, at the Australia Memorial, Chermside Historical Precinct, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM attended the Battle for Australia Commemoration Service, and the Governor addressed guests and laid the first wreath.

Following, at Government House, members of Palm Lake Over 50s Resort visited for a guided tour of the House and gardens. 

In the afternoon, at Government House, Her Excellency greeted members of Mount Gravatt Pacific Probus Club visiting for a guided tour of the gardens. 

Following, at Government House, Her Excellency and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD hosted a reception in support of Scouts Queensland.
