On Thursday, in the morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM received, the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, the Honourable Patrick Weir MP; Clerk of the Parliament, Mr Neil Laurie and Deputy Sergeant-at-Arms, Mr Phil Flaherty for the presentation of two Appropriation Bills for Royal Assent and two Bills for Assent.

Following, at 1 William Street, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the afternoon, at King George Square, Brisbane City, Her Excellency was represented by Honorary Aide-de-Camp Commander Nick Cusack RAN at the Beat to Quarters and Ceremonial Sunset in honour of Brisbane Navy Week 2026.

In the evening, at Government House, Her Excellency and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD hosted a dinner recognition of The Honourable Margaret McMurdo AC for dedicated service to the Queensland Community Foundation, and the Governor addressed guests.
