On Wednesday, in the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD departed Government House for Official Travel to Balonne Shire Council.
Following, at Government House, members of Queensland Vintage Reds visited for a guided tour of the House and gardens.
Following, at the Battle for Australia Memorial, Chermside Historical Precinct, Her Excellency was represented by Major Mark Vele at the Battle for Australia Commemoration Service and Major Vele laid the first wreath.
Following, at Dirranbandi State School, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo visited the school, and the Governor addressed students and staff and read a book to students.
In the afternoon, at Dirranbandi Civic Centre, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo hosted a lunch in support of the Balonne Shire Community.
Following, at Dirranbandi Queensland Country Women’s Association offices, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo visited the office and met with members.
Following, at Government House, members of the public visited for a guided tour of the House and gardens.
Following at Dirranbandi Hospital, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo visited the facility and met with staff.
Following, at Riversands Winery, St George, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo toured the facility and met with staff.
In the evening, at Riverland Motor Inn, St George, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo attended a working dinner with Balonne Shire Council representatives and the Governor addressed guests.
