On Monday, in the morning, at Gladstone Yacht Club, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD attended the Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race Presentation Ceremony, and the Governor presented the Courier Mail Cup, and addressed guests.

In the afternoon, at Tondoon Botanic Gardens, Gladstone, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo toured the gardens and received Mayor, Gladstone Regional Council, Councillor Matt Burnett and local First Nations Elders for a working lunch.  

Following, at Tannum Sands Esplanade, Gladstone, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo met with Mayor, Gladstone Regional Council, Councillor Matt Burnett and the Gladstone Youth Council.
