On Tuesday, in the morning, at South Bank Parklands, South Brisbane, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM attended the Brisbane Festival 2026 Program Launch, and the Governor addressed guests.

In the afternoon, Her Excellency and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD departed Government House for Official Travel to Cairns Regional Council, Torres Strait Island Regional Council and Northern Peninsula Area Regional Council.

Following, at Government House, members of the public visited for a guided tour of the gardens.

Following, at Cairns Pullman Reef Hotel, Her Excellency received Mayor, Torres Strait Island Regional Council, Councillor Phillemon Mosby.
