On Wednesday, in the morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD received the High Commissioner for Kenya, His Excellency Dr Wilson K. Kogo, Minister-Counsellor at the High Commission for Kenya in Australia, Ms Dolphine Ndeda, President of Kenyans in Queensland Inc (KIQ), Mr Anthony Kamau; Member of KIQ and Swahili Tutor/Researcher at Brisbane Swahili School and The Prince Charles Hospital, Dr Nchafatso Gikenyi Obonyo.

Following, at Government House, Her Excellency hosted an Investiture Ceremony for the following recipients of Australian Honours and Awards announced in the 2025 King’s Birthday Honours List and the March 2025 Bravery Announcement: Mr Stephen Shane Edwards BM; Mr Luke Aidan Giudicatti BM; Ms Gabrielle Rebecca Kelly BM; Miss Paula Jane Douglas AFSM; Mr Matthew Edmund Inwood AFSM; Mr Ricky Philip May AFSM; Mr Errol Leslie Noye AFSM; Mr Gregory Konrad Toman AFSM; Mr Patrick William Brown ASM; Mr Peter Ashley Heron ASM; Mr Wayne Errol Kirk ASM; Mr Ian Thomas Tarr ASM; Mr Kieran Adam Galey ESM; Mr Tristan Manning Hardwick ESM; Mr Cameron Jack ONeill - Commendation for Brave Conduct; and Mr Mitchell John Bennetts - Group Bravery Citation.
