On Thursday, in the morning, at Northern Peninsula Area State College, Bamaga, the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD visited and toured the Bamaga Junior Campus and read a book to students.

Following, at Northern Peninsula Regional Council Chambers, Bamaga, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo received a briefing from Northern Peninsula Area Regional Council representatives and met with staff.

Following, at Council Chambers, Bamaga, via teleconference, Her Excellency presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Following, at Cape York Peninsula Lodge, Bamaga, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo hosted a Community Lunch for the Northern Peninsula Area Regional Council, and the Governor addressed guests.

In the afternoon, at Bamaga Hospital, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo attended a Queensland Ambulance Service Field Paramedic Vehicle Blessing, and the Governor addressed guests.

Following, at Bamaga Hospital, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo received a briefing on operations, toured the facility and met with staff and patients. 

Following, at Bamaga, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo toured the local communities of Bamaga, Seisia, New Mapoon, Injinoo and Umagico, accompanied by Northern Peninsula Area Regional Council Mayor, Councillor Robert Poipoi and CEO, Mrs Dalassa Yorkston PSM.

In the evening, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo departed Northern Peninsula Area Regional Council for Official Travel to Cairns Regional Council.
