In the morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD received Ambassador of Italy, His Excellency Mr Nicola Lener and Consul of Italy in Brisbane, Ms Luna Angelini Marinucci.

Following, at Government House, Her Excellency received Clerk of the Parliament, Mr Neil Laurie, for the presentation of two Bills for Assent: Local Government (Empowering Councils) and Other Legislation Amendment Bill 2026; and Fighting Antisemitism and Keeping Guns out of the Hands of Terrorists and Criminals Amendment Bill 2026.

In the afternoon, at Government House, Her Excellency greeted members of the public visiting for a guided tour of the House and gardens.
