On Thursday, in the morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM hosted an Investiture Ceremony for the following recipients Australian Honours and Awards announced in the 2025 King’s Birthday Honours List and the 2025 Australia Day Honours List: Lieutenant Colonel Susana Fernandez CSC; Mr Peter Apostolos Delibaltas PSM; Associate Professor Carol Mary Douglas PSM; Mr Nigel Alexander Miller PSM; Mr Peter Allen See PSM; Ms Anita Lee Summers PSM; Chief Inspector Peter Daniel Doyle APM; Detective Inspector Christopher Paul Knight APM; Detective Inspector David Jeffrey Nixon APM; Senior Sergeant Ewan Gordon Findlater APM; Senior Sergeant Kirsty Maree Gleeson APM; Senior Sergeant Constance Jean Steel APM; Sergeant David John Reid APM; Sergeant Sarah-Jane Tulacz APM; Ms Shannon Lesley Atkins ACM; Mr Stuart Russell McHaffie ACM; and Mr Patrick David Ralph ACM.

In the evening, at the Twelfth Night Theatre, Bowen Hills, Her Excellency and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD attended the Brisbane Festival performance of ‘GATSBY at the Green Light’.
