On Thursday, in the morning, at the State Disaster Coordination Centre within the Queensland Emergency Operations Centre, Kedron, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM received a briefing from Queensland Fire and Emergency Services on weather preparedness across Queensland.

Following, at 1 William Street, Her Excellency presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the afternoon, at Government House, Her Excellency and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD hosted a Reception to celebrate BUSHKids 90 years and launch of the publication 'Sir Leslie Wilson - A Man of Honour', and the Governor addressed guests.

In the evening, at Queensland Performing Arts Centre, South Brisbane, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo attended the opening night performance of ‘Wolf’ by Circa.
