On Friday, in the morning, at Cannonvale State School, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD toured the school and met with students and staff.

Following, at The Big Mango in Bowen, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo toured the Visitor Information Centre and met with staff and volunteers.

Following, at Bowen Hospital, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo received a briefing on operations, toured the facility and met with staff and patients.

Following, at Merinda State School, Bowen, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo toured the school, met with students and staff and read Government House children’s publication ‘A Place for All Queenslanders’ to students.

In the afternoon, at Collinsville Multipurpose Health Service, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo received a briefing on operations, toured the facility and met with staff and patients.

Following, at the Queensland Country Women’s Association, Collinsville, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo met with members and volunteers on the eve of their 100^th birthday celebrations.

In the evening, at The Coral Sea Resort, Airlie Beach, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo hosted a reception with Whitsunday Regional Council and Community Leaders.
