On Thursday, in the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD were hosted by Boulia Shire Council Mayor, Councillor Rick Britton for a driving tour of the township.

Following, at Country University Centre, Boulia, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo attended a morning tea with members of the community.

Following, at 1 William Street, the Deputy Governor of Queensland, the Honourable Justice Glenn Martin AM, presided over a meeting of Executive Council.

In the afternoon, at Boulia State School, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo visited the school, and met students and staff.

Following, at Boulia Heritage Complex/Stonehouse Museum, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo received a briefing, toured the displays and met with staff and volunteers.

Following, at Boulia Shire Hall, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo attended the ‘Change Maker’ Workshop and met with attendees.

In the afternoon, the Honourable David Boddice commenced duty as Deputy Governor of Queensland.

In the evening, at the Australian Age of Dinosaurs, Winton, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo attended the Festival of Outback Opera performance of Dark Sky Serenade.
