On Saturday, in the morning, at Jezzine Barracks, Townsville, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD attended the Victory in the Pacific 80^th Commemorative Community Open Day, and the Governor addressed guests.

In the afternoon, at Jezzine Barracks, Townsville, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo attended a Luncheon for WWII Veterans and families.

Following, at The Strand, Townsville, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo attended a Veterans parade and viewed a Flypast of historic and current aircraft as part of the Victory in the Pacific 80^th Commemorations.

In the evening, at the North Queensland Club, Townsville, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo attended the Dinner in celebration of the 140^th Anniversary of the Club, and the Governor addressed guests.
