On Saturday, in the afternoon, at The Longreach Tavern, Longreach, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD attended a Lunch hosted by Chairman, The Great Australian Charity Cattle Drive, Mr Anthony Struss, Operations Manager, The Great Australian Charity Cattle Drive, Ms Chrissie Nott and Chairman, Beefbank, Mr Andrew Rogers.

Following, at the Longreach Cattle Yards, Longreach, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo received a briefing on operations and logistics behind the large-scale event.

In the evening, at Camden Park Station, Longreach, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo attended the Festival of Outback Opera Singing in the Night, and the Governor addressed guests.
