On Thursday, in the morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD received Director, Friends of Brisbane Botanic Gardens and Sherwood Arboretum, Ms Julie Lumsdale.

In the afternoon, at Parliament House, Her Excellency presided over a meeting of the Executive Council. 

Following, at Government House, Her Excellency received Commissioner, Queensland Police Service, Commissioner Stephen Gollschewski APM.

In the evening, at Government House, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo hosted a dinner in honour of Queenslanders recognised in the 2025 King's Birthday Honours List, and the Governor addressed guests.
