On Thursday, in the morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD received Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, Minister Catherine West MP, British High Commissioner to Australia, Her Excellency Dame Sarah MacIntosh DCMG, British Consul General Queensland and Northern Territory and Trade Director Australia, Mr Richard Cowin and Private Secretary, Minister West, Mr Tom MacHugh.

Following, at 1 William Street, Her Excellency presided over a meeting of Executive Council.

In the afternoon, at Government House, Her Excellency hosted a reception for the National Council of Women of Queensland's 120th Anniversary, and the Governor addressed guests.
