On Sunday, in the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD departed Government House for Official Travel to Carpentaria Shire Council, Doomadgee Aboriginal Shire Council, Mornington Shire Council, Kowanyama Aboriginal Shire Council, Pormpuraaw Aboriginal Shire Council and Aurukun Shire Council and the Honourable Chief Justice Helen Bowskill commenced duty as Deputy Governor of Queensland. 

In the afternoon, at FoodWorks, Normanton, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo visited the store and met with staff and community members.

Following, at Normanton Visitor Information Centre, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo viewed the displays in the Heritage Centre and met with staff and volunteers.
