Governor's Program

The Governor’s Official Program is comprised of a wide range of constitutional and legal duties and ceremonial and community engagements. Each year, the Governor hosts thousands of visitors to Government House to take part in investiture and award ceremonies, Open Days, receptions and meetings, and travels widely throughout Queensland to support the activities of Patron groups. On Tuesday, in the morningat Dajarra, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC visited Dajarra State School, and the Governor read a book to children and guests.

Following, at Dajarra State School, Dajarra, His Excellency attended a Community Morning Tea and addressed guests.

In the afternoon, at Mount Isa, His Excellency, undertook a media interview with the Editor, North West Star, Mr Derek Barry.

Following, at Cloncurry, His Excellency and Mrs Kaye de Jersey visited Cloncurry State School, and the Governor addressed students and guests.

Following, at John Flynn Place Museum, Cloncurry, His Excellency and Mrs de Jersey attended a Community Luncheon, and the Governor addressed guests.

Following, at Cloncurry Hospital, Cloncurry, His Excellency and Mrs de Jersey visited Aged Care Residents during Seniors Week.
