Governor's Program
The Governor’s Official Program is comprised of a wide range of constitutional and legal duties and ceremonial and community engagements. Each year, the Governor hosts thousands of visitors to Government House to take part in investiture and award ceremonies, Open Days, receptions and meetings, and travels widely throughout Queensland to support the activities of Patron groups. On Friday, in the morning, at Blackall-Tambo Regional Council, Blackall, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey received a briefing from Council representatives.
Following, at Blackall State School, Blackall, His Excellency and Mrs de Jersey attended a combined school assembly with representatives from Blackall State School and St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, and the Governor addressed students and guests.
Following, at Memorial Park, Blackall, His Excellency and Mrs de Jersey attended a Community Barbeque.
In the afternoon, His Excellency and Mrs de Jersey visited Tambo State School, and the Governor addressed students and guests.
Following, at Tambo Shire Hall, Tambo, His Excellency and Mrs de Jersey attended a Community Afternoon Tea.
Following, His Excellency and Mrs de Jersey returned to Government House following Regional Government House operations in Mount Isa.
