Governor's Program

The Governor’s Official Program is comprised of a wide range of constitutional and legal duties and ceremonial and community engagements. Each year, the Governor hosts thousands of visitors to Government House to take part in investiture and award ceremonies, Open Days, receptions and meetings, and travels widely throughout Queensland to support the activities of Patron groups. On Thursday, in the morning, at Queensland Art Gallery, Gallery of Modern Art, South Brisbane, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey viewed the Exhibitions of Margaret Olley ‘A Generous Life’ and ‘Quilty’.

Following, at 1 William Street, His Excellency presided at a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the afternoon, at Government House, His Excellency greeted members of the public visiting for a guided tour of the House and gardens.

In the evening, at St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital, Spring Hill, His Excellency attended the Access Art Exhibition ‘Time’, and the Governor officially opened the Exhibition and addressed guests.
