Governor's Program

The Governor’s Official Program is comprised of a wide range of constitutional and legal duties and ceremonial and community engagements. Each year, the Governor hosts thousands of visitors to Government House to take part in investiture and award ceremonies, Open Days, receptions and meetings, and travels widely throughout Queensland to support the activities of Patron groups. On Tuesday, in the morning, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey hosted an Investiture Ceremony for recipients of Australian honours and awards announced in the 2018 and 2019 Queen’s Birthday and 2019 Australia Day Honours Lists, and the Governor addressed guests.

In the afternoon, at Government House, His Excellency and Mrs de Jersey hosted an Investiture Ceremony for recipients of Australian honours and awards announced in the 2019 Australia Day and 2019 Queen’s Birthday Honours Lists and Australian Bravery Decorations announced in August 2019, and the Governor addressed guests.

In the evening, at Howard Smith Wharfs, Brisbane, His Excellency attended the National Trust of Australia (Queensland) 2019 Heritage Awards, and the Governor presented two awards and addressed guests.
