Governor's Program
The Governor’s Official Program is comprised of a wide range of constitutional and legal duties and ceremonial and community engagements. Each year, the Governor hosts thousands of visitors to Government House to take part in investiture and award ceremonies, Open Days, receptions and meetings, and travels widely throughout Queensland to support the activities of Patron groups. On Thursday, in the morning, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC hosted a breakfast for visiting Australian Heads of Mission and Heads of Post, and the Governor addressed guests.
In the afternoon, at Government House, His Excellency and Mrs Kaye de Jersey hosted a luncheon in honour of the Honourable George Brandis QC, Australian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, and the Governor addressed guests.
Following, at Government House, His Excellency received the Clerk of the Parliament, Mr Neil Laurie for the presentation of two Bills for Assent.
Following, at Government House, His Excellency and Mrs de Jersey hosted an afternoon tea for Queensland students attending the Fiftysix Creations Young Entrepreneur Summit, and the Governor addressed guests.
Following, at Government House, His Excellency and Mrs de Jersey hosted a reception for the Royal Australian Navy Clearance Divers Association (RANCDA), and the Governor addressed guests.
