Governor's Program

The Governor’s Official Program is comprised of a wide range of constitutional and legal duties and ceremonial and community engagements. Each year, the Governor hosts thousands of visitors to Government House to take part in investiture and award ceremonies, Open Days, receptions and meetings, and travels widely throughout Queensland to support the activities of Patron groups. On Wednesday, in the morning, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC hosted a breakfast in honour of the Engineers Australia Centenary Year, and the Governor addressed guests.

Following, at the Battle for Australia Memorial, Chermside, His Excellency and Mrs Kaye de Jersey attended the Battle for Australia Commemoration Service, and laid the first wreath.

In the afternoon, at South Brisbane, His Excellency visited the St Vincent de Paul Society of Queensland South Brisbane Men's Hostel.

Following, at Government House, His Excellency and Mrs de Jersey hosted a Reception for the 60th Anniversary of the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award, and the Governor presented awards and addressed guests.
