Governor's Program

The Governor’s Official Program is comprised of a wide range of constitutional and legal duties and ceremonial and community engagements. Each year, the Governor hosts thousands of visitors to Government House to take part in investiture and award ceremonies, Open Days, receptions and meetings, and travels widely throughout Queensland to support the activities of Patron groups. On Thursday, in the morning, at Runcorn, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC visited the Queensland State Archives to view historical documents in honour of Separation Day.

Following, at 1 William Street, His Excellency presided at a special meeting of the Executive Council.

In the evening, at Government House, His Excellency and Mrs Kaye de Jersey hosted a reception to celebrate Christmas, and the Governor addressed guests.
